UPDATES:

From April to Nov/Dec of each year, the sugar crushing and production of sugar is in full swing in Brazil. The availability of IC 150 is plentiful, but IC 45 is still limited as not many Brazil sugar mills are producing these.

As a general information, Brazil produces less than 2 million MT of IC 45, and over 6 million MT of IC 150 and almost 20 million of VHP and VVHP ( raw sugar for destination refineries ).

Hatton Group has secured stock of ICUMSA 150 direct from the sugar mills at slightly less than market price. We can also supply ICUMSA 45 at market prices and VHP or VVHP at New York pricing.

We encourage our customers to start with containers (20 foot) before moving to vessel size loads. Each container can hold 540 bags or 27 MT. But, some ports have restriction on the weight, so please check with us first. Shipping sugar on containers is economical to many ports. Shipping by vessel load is now too expensive due to shortage of vessels in the world. For, example, freight cost by container to Dubai is approx $55 and by vessel loads is approx $80. Also, land transportation cost is a lot cheaper using containers.

For those who wants to buy in vessel loads, most of the vessel sizes are 14,000 MT.

Hatton Group Limited is pleased to present some background information and articles on sugar for the public. We believe that by educating our customers and the public, we will all benefit by achieving a better understanding of the international sugar trade. There are too many frauds involving the sugar trades that give this business a very bad name. Please click here to see more details on fraudulent documents and fake POP.

The easiest and fastest way to check if a supplier is real or not is to follow this basic rule.

ASK YOUR SUPPLIER TO SHOW YOU THEIR LAST SHIPMENT RECORDS - PAST B/L AND INSPECTION REPORTS THAT YOU CAN CALL THE SHIPING LINES YOURSELF AND THE INSPECTION AGENCY YOURSELF TO CONFIRM. IF YOUR SUPPLIER DID NOT WANT TO SUPPLY THIS INFORMATION AND SAY ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY, ETC, THEN THIS SUPPLIER IS A FAKE SUPPLIER WHO HAS NEVER SHIPPED 1 BAG OF SUGAR.

WE AT HATTON GROUP WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHOW YOU OUR PAST SHIPMENT RECORDS.
